Cartier or Société Cartier is a French conglomerate company that deals, designs, manufactures, distributes, and sells jewelry and watches. Cartier was found in Paris, France in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier. The company remains under control of the Cartier family till 1964. The company has its headquarter in Paris, France. Cartier, with the passage of time, have evolved themselves and their products. Now, Cartier along with jewelry and watches, also manufactures, sells and designs wristwatches, watches, fragrances, and leather items as well.

Now, Cartier is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Richemont, a Swiss luxury goods items company founded by South African businessman Johann Rupert. However; Cartier has its own working procedure and Cyrille Vigneron is the CEO of Cartier. Cartier serves all around the world and its products can be shipped to any customer in any part of the world. There are 200 retail stores of Cartier which are being operated at the moment and are in more than 125 countries.

The theme of Cartier and their products are multidimensional and they aren’t focused on a specific group of people or class. Cartier designs products for both males and females and the price range of their products is very variable. Cartier’s website, its products, and items theme, and designs are a mixture of a modern and vintage touch.

After observing the history of Cartier it can easily be concluded that the Cartier family has run this business perfectly for over 100 years. Cartier had a strong association with Royalty. King Edward 7 of England once referred Cartier as ‘The jewelry of kings and the kings of jewelry’. In 1902, King Edward VII ordered a royal warrant for Cartier that means it allowed Cartier to display their royal association and get benefits from it. Soon after that royal warrant, the same warrants were followed by Spain, Portugal, Russia, Siam, Greece, Serbia, Belgium, Romania, Egypt, Albania, Monaco, and the House of Orleans. Prestige and honor that is under the name of very few of the fashion designing companies worldwide. Even today, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has been seen wearing the Cartier Ballon Bleu watch.
